Slurry Rock™ Flowable Backfill
Slurry-Rock™ Flowable Backfill is not concrete or soil, yet it is a strong, economical, virtually self-leveling and labor free backfill material that requires no compaction or in place testing.

Whenever a backfill material is needed, slurry-rock flowable backfill may be used. Possible uses include, but are not limited to:
Foundation sub-base Street excavations
Trench backfill Erosion repair
Fiber-optic trenches Retaining wall backfill
Bridge abutments Abandoned fuel tanks

Cost Reduction
Our ready mix truck eliminates costly equipment to haul and handle conventional backfill material.

Ready mix trucks, especially in hard to reach areas, will eliminate extensive hand labor that would be needed for placement and compaction utilizing conventional backfill methods. With Slurry-rock™ flowable backfill, labor is practically eliminated. There is no need for in place testing, and test cylinders provide standardized results.

Versatility
A variety of mix designs have been developed using different aggregate combinations, cementitious materials, and admixtures. In place strengths from 2,000 psf to 30,000 psf have been developed. Use on our time-tested mixtures or have your technical representative design a mix to meet your specifications. Slurry-rock™ flowable backfill may also be pumped if needed.

Durability
The cementitious nature of Slurry-rock™ flowable backfill makes it more stable and less permeable than conventional backfill material. The freeze-thaw cycle may affect the slurry-rock material. However, as long as the fill is contained within a certain amount of space, it will perform the same as other granular fill material.
